We’re blessed to work with great people here at B&H Academic, some new, some old, and some transitioning to new ventures. Our publisher, Jim Baird, recently shared the following news about changes to our staff.
“One of the best aspects of my work with B&H Academic is our team. I am blessed to work with men and women who love the Lord and they are committed to excellence. I remind the team that one of my responsibilities is to put each one of them in a position to succeed and excel in their work. As they do, it is often the case that they will have opportunities to advance in our organization. So, it is with both joy and sadness that I announce to you that Chris Cowan is leaving B&H Academic to join the Bible/Reference team of B&H Publishing Group.
Chris has served as our senior project manager and academic editor for three and a half years. He has also been part of our acquisitions team. In a word, his performance has been outstanding. In addition to being a valuable member of my team, he is also a friend whose counsel I have come to respect. I am grateful that he is staying with our Lifeway family. One of his first projects with Bible/Reference is a forthcoming commentary series, Biblical Theology for Christian Proclamation.
God has been gracious to allow us to find a suitable replacement for Chris Cowan. I am excited to welcome Chris Thompson, who is our new senior project manager for B&H Academic. Chris comes to us from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he served as Associate Director of Distance Learning. His experience in higher education will make him a tremendous asset to the B&H team.
I am also excited to welcome Chris Reese as director of marketing for B&H Academic. Chris has been serving part time with B&H Academic for the past year, but begins full time on Oct 1. He comes to us from Moody Publishers where he served as Associate Publisher for their academic and reference books.
If you plan on attending ETS this year, please stop by our exhibit and meet Chris Thompson and Chris Reese. And please continue to pray that B&H Academic will continue to serve you and the Church well.”
In His service,
